Our Classes

As a mixed martial arts gym, we offer both striking and grappling classes, with some fitness classes for flexibility, strength, and wellness. Currently, our classes are Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, MMA and yoga. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced martial artist, we have the class for you.

BJJ is a style of martial art that centers around submission grappling. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu combines original Japanese Jiu-Jitsu theories with a combat mentality, producing a sport unlike any other. Our BJJ classes involve basic movements and concepts, positional skill development, and live rolling. You are not required to participate in the live rolling part of class, but as we say in Jiu-Jitsu, “If you don’t roll, you don’t know.”

Kickboxing and Muay Thai are stand-up, or striking, martial arts that play with the concept of space between you and your opponent. Our striking classes vary in intensity for all skill levels. From Cardio Kickboxing to Muay Thai sparring, our stand-up classes will help you develop your skills and discipline.

Our classes will make you sweat! Bring comfortable clothing that allow for movement, and plenty of it. If you are participating in BJJ, most days you will need a Gi (you can rent or purchase one of ours if you don’t have your own). If you are participating in Kickboxing or Muay Thai, you will need handwraps and 16oz boxing gloves (you can purchase a pair from us, or borrow some!).

Protective gear is required for sparring classes. Shin guards and headgear may be purchased at the gym (from Revgear). A mouthguard is strongly recommended for all classes.

If you have long hair, it’s best kept in a ponytail or braid. You may also wrap your hair, as long as the wrap will not interfere with your ability to move, or your training partner’s ability to move. Hair wraps we suggest: a Buff® or Loc Soc® if you have dreads or hair requiring a gentle, but stable, hold; athletic or sport hijab; or pre-wrap, which is the softer medical wrap.
