Diogo “Moreno” Araujo, born in 1984 in Rio de Janeiro, began his journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a young enthusiast under the guidance of his father. With over three decades of experience in training and coaching BJJ, his expertise is extensive.

In 2010, Diogo attained his Black Belt, a significant achievement earned on the podium after triumphing in the Rio Open Championships. Later that year, he secured victory in the Brazilian State Championships within the Black Belt division, further solidifying his prowess.

Continuing his success, Diogo clinched second place in the IBJJF World Championships Adult division in 2012, followed by a third-place finish in the Pan Am No-Gi Adult division. His list of accolades has only grown, culminating in a recent triumph in the World Championships Masters Division.

Since 2016, Diogo has been sharing his knowledge as a coach, eager to impart his skills to others. He looks forward to relocating to Dallas with his wife and young daughter, and embracing new opportunities in the BJJ community.
